The one who gathers crops in the summer is a wise son, but the one who sleeps during harvest is a shameful son.

Whoever brings a fool into the world does so to his grief, and the father of a fool has no joy.

Train a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Do not withhold discipline from a child; even if you strike him with the rod, he will not die.

If someone pampers his servant from youth, he will be a weakling in the end.
