and if jealous feelings come over him and he becomes suspicious of his wife, when she is defiled; or if jealous feelings come over him and he becomes suspicious of his wife, when she is not defiled–

When he got home, he took a knife, grasped his concubine, and carved her up into twelve pieces. Then he sent the pieces throughout Israel.

Wrath is cruel and anger is overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?

Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we really stronger than he is?
