TSK · Psalms 72:2

One night in Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream. God said,“Tell me what I should give you.”

May the LORD your God be praised because he favored you by placing you on the throne of Israel! Because of the LORD’s eternal love for Israel, he made you king so you could make just and right decisions.”

who shows no partiality to princes, and does not take note of the rich more than the poor, because all of them are the work of his hands?

Your throne, O God, is permanent. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of justice.

Defend the cause of the poor and the fatherless! Vindicate the oppressed and suffering!

His dominion will be vast and he will bring immeasurable prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom, establishing it and strengthening it by promoting justice and fairness, from this time forward and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will accomplish this.

Justice and Wisdom Will Prevail Look, a king will promote fairness; officials will promote justice.
