Then the priests slaughtered them. They offered their blood as a sin offering on the altar to make atonement for all Israel, because the king had decreed that the burnt sacrifice and sin offering were for all Israel.

“Seventy weeks have been determined concerning your people and your holy city to put an end to rebellion, to bring sin to completion, to atone for iniquity, to bring in perpetual righteousness, to seal up the prophetic vision, and to anoint a most holy place.
For this is the will of my Father– for everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him to have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; no one will snatch them from my hand.
In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.
because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so.
Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died(and more than that, he was raised), who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.
always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our body.
God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.
and through him to reconcile all things to himself by making peace through the blood of his cross– through him, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.
and the one who lives! I was dead, but look, now I am alive– forever and ever– and I hold the keys of death and of Hades!
