When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.

were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, 'Our hand is exalted, Yahweh has not done all this.'"

For Yahweh will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that [their] power is gone, There is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.

Yahweh said to Gideon, "By the three hundred men who lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, each to his own place."

Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on Yahweh, the God of their fathers.

God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians who lived in Gur Baal, and the Meunim.

Hezekiah the king, and Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, prayed because of this, and cried to heaven.

In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of Yahweh our God.

They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.

This poor man cried, and Yahweh heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.

You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

They will fight against you; but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you," says Yahweh, "to deliver you."

For thus says Yahweh of Armies: 'For honor he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.
