21. The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold; And a man is [tried] by his praise.

21. The refining pot^H4715 is for silver,^H3701 and the furnace^H3564 for gold;^H2091 And a man^H376 is [tried]^H6310 by his praise.^H4110

21. As is the fining pot for the siluer, and the furnace for golde: so is a man tryed by the mouth of him that prayseth him.

21. Syluer is tryed in the moulde, & golde in the fornace, & so is a man, whan he is openly praysed to his face.

21. As is the fining pot for siluer and the fornace for golde, so is euery man according to his dignitie.

21. ¶ [As] the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so [is] a man to his praise.

21. As the crucible is for silver and the furnace is for gold, so a person must put his praise to the test.
