And he said,^H559 What^H4100 hast thou done?^H6213 the voice^H6963 of thy brother's^H251 blood^H1818 crieth^H6817 unto me from the ground.^H127

Therefore the anger^H639 of Jehovah^H3068 was kindled^H2734 against Israel,^H3478 and he sold^H4376 them into the hand^H3027 of Cushan-rishathaim^H3573 king^H4428 of Mesopotamia:^H763 and the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 served^H5647 Cushan-rishathaim^H3573 eight^H8083 years.^H8141

And the prophet^H5030 came^H5066 near to the king^H4428 of Israel,^H3478 and said^H559 unto him, Go,^H3212 strengthen^H2388 thyself, and mark,^H3045 and see^H7200 what thou doest;^H6213 for at the return^H8666 of the year^H8141 the king^H4428 of Syria^H758 will come up^H5927 against thee.

Then came^H935 Isaiah^H3470 the prophet^H5030 unto king^H4428 Hezekiah,^H2396 and said^H559 unto him, What said^H559 these men?^H582 and from whence^H370 came^H935 they unto thee? And Hezekiah^H2396 said,^H559 They are come^H935 from a far^H7350 country,^H776 even from Babylon.^H894

For they persecute^H7291 him whom thou hast smitten;^H5221 And they tell^H5608 of the sorrow^H4341 of those whom thou hast wounded.^H2491

I was wroth^H7107 with my people,^H5971 I profaned^H2490 mine inheritance,^H5159 and gave^H5414 them into thy hand:^H3027 thou didst show^H7760 them no mercy;^H7356 upon the aged^H2205 hast thou very^H3966 heavily^H3513 laid thy yoke.^H5923

Thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah:^H3069 Because that Edom^H123 hath dealt^H6213 against the house^H1004 of Judah^H3063 by taking^H5358 vengeance,^H5359 and hath greatly^H816 offended,^H816 and revenged^H5358 himself upon them;

For the violence^H2555 done to thy brother^H251 Jacob,^H3290 shame^H955 shall cover^H3680 thee, and thou shalt be cut off^H3772 for ever.^H5769

And I am very^H1419 sore^H7110 displeased^H7107 with the nations^H1471 that are at ease;^H7600 for I was but a little^H4592 displeased,^H7107 and they helped^H5826 forward the affliction.^H7451
