Then Jonathan^H3083 and David^H1732 made^H3772 a covenant,^H1285 because he loved^H160 him as his own soul.^H5315

but also thou shalt not cut off^H3772 thy kindness^H2617 from my house^H1004 for^H5704 ever;^H5769 no, not when Jehovah^H3068 hath cut off^H3772 the enemies^H341 of David^H1732 every one^H376 from the face^H6440 of the earth.^H127

And Jonathan^H3083 said^H559 to David,^H1732 Go^H3212 in peace,^H7965 forasmuch as we have sworn^H7650 both^H8147 of us in the name^H8034 of Jehovah,^H3068 saying,^H559 Jehovah^H3068 shall be between me and thee, and between my seed^H2233 and thy seed,^H2233 for^H5704 ever.^H5769 And he arose^H6965 and departed:^H3212 and Jonathan^H3083 went^H935 into the city.^H5892

And David^H1732 sware^H7650 unto Saul.^H7586 And Saul^H7586 went^H3212 home;^H1004 but David^H1732 and his men^H582 gat them up^H5927 unto the stronghold.^H4686

And David^H1732 said,^H559 Is there yet^H3426 any that is left^H3498 of the house^H1004 of Saul,^H7586 that I may show^H6213 him kindness^H2617 for Jonathan's^H3083 sake?

And David^H1732 said^H559 unto him, Fear^H3372 not; for I will surely^H6213 show^H6213 thee kindness^H2617 for Jonathan^H3083 thy father's^H1 sake, and will restore^H7725 thee all the land^H7704 of Saul^H7586 thy father;^H1 and thou shalt eat^H398 bread^H3899 at my table^H7979 continually.^H8548

Then said^H559 the king^H4428 to Ziba,^H6717 Behold, thine is all that pertaineth unto Mephibosheth.^H4648 And Ziba^H6717 said,^H559 I do obeisance;^H7812 let me find^H4672 favor^H2580 in thy sight,^H5869 my lord,^H113 O king.^H4428
