And when Joshua^H3091 heard^H8085 the noise^H6963 of the people^H5971 as they shouted,^H7452 he said^H559 unto Moses,^H4872 There is a noise^H6963 of war^H4421 in the camp.^H4264

So the people^H5971 shouted,^H7321 and [the priests] blew^H8628 the trumpets;^H7782 and it came to pass, when the people^H5971 heard^H8085 the sound^H6963 of the trumpet,^H7782 that the people^H5971 shouted^H7321 with a great^H1419 shout,^H8643 and the wall^H2346 fell down flat,^H5307 so that the people^H5971 went up^H5927 into the city,^H5892 every man^H376 straight before him, and they took^H3920 the city.^H5892

As oft as the trumpet^H7782 [soundeth]^H1767 he saith,^H559 Aha!^{H1889 H1889} And he smelleth^H7306 the battle^H4421 afar off,^H7350 The thunder^H7482 of the captains,^H8269 and the shouting.^H8643

For thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 concerning the houses^H1004 of this city,^H5892 and concerning the houses^H1004 of the kings^H4428 of Judah,^H3063 which are broken down^H5422 [to make a defence] against the mounds^H5550 and against the sword;^H2719

And it came to pass in the ninth^H8671 year^H8141 of his reign,^H4427 in the tenth^H6224 month,^H2320 in the tenth^H6218 day of the month,^H2320 that Nebuchadrezzar^H5019 king^H4428 of Babylon^H894 came,^H935 he and all his army,^H2428 against Jerusalem,^H3389 and encamped^H2583 against it; and they built^H1129 forts^H1785 against it round about.^H5439

A third part^H7992 of thee shall die^H4191 with the pestilence,^H1698 and with famine^H7458 shall they be consumed^H3615 in the midst^H8432 of thee; and a third part^H7992 shall fall^H5307 by the sword^H2719 round about^H5439 thee; and a third part^H7992 I will scatter^H2219 unto all the winds,^H7307 and will draw out^H7324 a sword^H2719 after^H310 them.

And he shall set^H5414 his battering^H6904 engines^H4239 against thy walls,^H2346 and with his axes^H2719 he shall break down^H5422 thy towers.^H4026
