If^H518 thou doest well,^H3190 shall it not be lifted^H7613 up? and if thou doest not well,^H3190 sin^H2403 coucheth^H7257 at the door;^H6607 and unto thee shall be its desire;^H8669 but do thou rule^H4910 over it.

and her husband^H376 hear^H8085 it, and hold his peace^H2790 at her in the day^H3117 that he heareth^H8085 it; then her vows^H5088 shall stand,^H6965 and her bonds^H632 wherewith she hath bound^H631 her soul^H5315 shall stand.^H6965

And his daughter-in-law,^H3618 Phinehas'^H6372 wife,^H802 was with child,^H2030 near to be delivered:^H3205 and when she heard^H8085 the tidings^H8052 that^H413 the ark^H727 of God^H430 was taken,^H3947 and that her father-in-law^H2524 and her husband^H376 were dead,^H4191 she bowed^H3766 herself and brought forth;^H3205 for her pains^H6735 came^H2015 upon her.

And when the king's^H4428 decree^H6599 which he shall make^H6213 shall be published^H8085 throughout all his kingdom^H4438 (for it is great),^H7227 all the wives^H802 will give^H5414 to their husbands^H1167 honor,^H3366 both to great^H1419 and small.^H6996

Like^H3644 as a woman with child,^H2030 that draweth near^H7126 the time of her delivery,^H3205 is in pain^H2342 and crieth out^H2199 in her pangs;^H2256 so we have been before^H6440 thee, O Jehovah.^H3068

For I have heard^H8085 a voice^H6963 as of a woman in travail,^H2470 the anguish^H6869 as of her that bringeth forth her first child,^H1069 the voice^H6963 of the daughter^H1323 of Zion,^H6726 that gaspeth^H3306 for breath, that spreadeth^H6566 her hands,^H3709 [saying], Woe^H188 is me now! for my soul^H5315 fainteth^H5888 before the murderers.^H2026

What wilt thou say,^H559 when he shall set^H6485 over thee as head^H7218 those whom thou hast thyself taught^H3925 to be friends^H441 to thee? shall not sorrows^H2256 take^H270 hold of thee, as of a woman^H802 in travail?^H3205

Damascus^H1834 is waxed feeble,^H7503 she turneth^H6437 herself to flee,^H5127 and trembling^H7374 hath seized^H2388 on her: anguish^H6869 and sorrows^H2256 have taken^H270 hold of her, as of a woman in travail.^H3205

A woman^G1135 when^G3752 she is in travail^G5088 hath^G2192 sorrow,^G3077 because^G3754 her^G846 hour^G5610 is come:^G2064 but^G1161 when^G3752 she is delivered^G1080 of the child,^G3813 she remembereth^G3421 no^G3756 more^G2089 the anguish,^G2347 for^G1223 the joy^G5479 that^G3754 a man^G444 is born^G1080 into^G1519 the world.^G2889

But^G1161 I would have^G2309 you^G5209 know,^G1492 that^G3754 the head^G2776 of every^G3956 man^G435 is^G2076 Christ;^G5547 and^G1161 the head^G2776 of the woman^G1135 is the man;^G435 and^G1161 the head^G2776 of Christ^G5547 is God.^G2316

Wives,^G1135 [be in subjection] unto^G5293 your own^G2398 husbands,^G435 as^G5613 unto the Lord.^G2962
