Now Ahab^H256 had seventy^H7657 sons^H1121 in Samaria.^H8111 And Jehu^H3058 wrote^H3789 letters,^H5612 and sent^H7971 to Samaria,^H8111 unto the rulers^H8269 of Jezreel,^H3157 even the elders,^H2205 and unto them that brought up^H539 [the sons of] Ahab,^H256 saying,^H559

Know^H3045 now^H645 that there shall fall^H5307 unto the earth^H776 nothing of the word^H1697 of Jehovah,^H3068 which Jehovah^H3068 spake^H1696 concerning the house^H1004 of Ahab:^H256 for Jehovah^H3068 hath done^H6213 that which he spake^H1696 by^H3027 his servant^H5650 Elijah.^H452

And when he came^H935 to Samaria,^H8111 he smote^H5221 all that remained^H7604 unto Ahab^H256 in Samaria,^H8111 till he had destroyed^H8045 him, according to the word^H1697 of Jehovah,^H3068 which he spake^H1696 to Elijah.^H452

And Shallum^H7967 the son^H1121 of Jabesh^H3003 conspired^H7194 against him, and smote^H5221 him before^H6905 the people,^H5971 and slew^H4191 him, and reigned^H4427 in his stead.

In the ninth^H8671 year^H8141 of Hoshea^H1954 the king^H4428 of Assyria^H804 took^H3920 Samaria,^H8111 and carried^H1540 Israel^H3478 away^H1540 unto Assyria,^H804 and placed^H3427 them in Halah,^H2477 and on the Habor,^H2249 the river^H5104 of Gozan,^H1470 and in the cities^H5892 of the Medes.^H4074

And they trespassed^H4603 against the God^H430 of their fathers,^H1 and played the harlot^H2181 after^H310 the gods^H430 of the peoples^H5971 of the land,^H776 whom God^H430 destroyed^H8045 before^H6440 them.

And I went^H7126 unto the prophetess;^H5031 and she conceived,^H2029 and bare^H3205 a son.^H1121 Then said^H559 Jehovah^H3068 unto me, Call^H7121 his name^H8034 Maher-shalal-hash-baz.^H4122

And I saw,^H7200 when, for this very cause^H182 that backsliding^H4878 Israel^H3478 had committed adultery,^H5003 I had put her away^H7971 and given^H5414 her a bill^H5612 of divorcement,^H3748 yet treacherous^H898 Judah^H3063 her sister^H269 feared^H3372 not; but she also went^H3212 and played the harlot.^H2181

These uncovered^H1540 her nakedness;^H6172 they took^H3947 her sons^H1121 and her daughters;^H1323 and her they slew^H2026 with the sword:^H2719 and she became a byword^H8034 among women;^H802 for they executed^H6213 judgments^H8196 upon her.

And she conceived again,^H2029 and bare^H3205 a daughter.^H1323 And [Jehovah] said^H559 unto him, Call^H7121 her name^H8034 Lo-ruhamah;^H3819 for I will no more^H3254 have mercy^H7355 upon the house^H1004 of Israel,^H3478 that I should^H5375 in any wise pardon^H5375 them.

And I will visit^H6485 upon her the days^H3117 of the Baalim,^H1168 unto which she burned incense,^H6999 when she decked^H5710 herself with her ear-rings^H5141 and her jewels,^H2484 and went^H3212 after^H310 her lovers,^H157 and forgat^H7911 me, saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

My God^H430 will cast them away,^H3988 because they did not hearken^H8085 unto him; and they shall be wanderers^H5074 among the nations.^H1471

And^G1161 she shall bring forth^G5088 a son;^G5207 and^G2532 thou shalt call^G2564 his^G846 name^G3686 JESUS;^G2424 for^G1063 it is he^G846 that shall save^G4982 his^G846 people^G2992 from^G575 their^G846 sins.^G266

And^G2532 behold,^G2400 thou shalt conceive^G4815 in^G1722 thy womb,^G1064 and^G2532 bring forth^G5088 a son,^G5207 and^G2532 shalt call^G2564 his^G846 name^G3686 JESUS.^G2424
