In the ninth^H8671 year^H8141 of Hoshea^H1954 the king^H4428 of Assyria^H804 took^H3920 Samaria,^H8111 and carried^H1540 Israel^H3478 away^H1540 unto Assyria,^H804 and placed^H3427 them in Halah,^H2477 and on the Habor,^H2249 the river^H5104 of Gozan,^H1470 and in the cities^H5892 of the Medes.^H4074

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 For three^H7969 transgressions^H6588 of the children^H1121 of Ammon,^H5983 yea, for four,^H702 I will not turn away^H7725 the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up^H1234 the women with child^H2030 of Gilead,^H1568 that they may enlarge^H7337 their border.^H1366

Woe^H1945 to them that are at ease^H7600 in Zion,^H6726 and to them that are secure^H982 in the mountain^H2022 of Samaria,^H8111 the notable^H5344 men of the chief^H7225 of the nations,^H1471 to whom the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478 come!^H935

And the mountains^H2022 shall be melted^H4549 under him, and the valleys^H6010 shall be cleft,^H1234 as wax^H1749 before^H6440 the fire,^H784 as waters^H4325 that are poured^H5064 down a steep place.^H4174

Yet was she carried away,^H1473 she went^H1980 into captivity;^H7628 her young children^H5768 also were dashed in pieces^H7376 at the head^H7218 of all the streets;^H2351 and they cast^H3032 lots^H1486 for her honorable men,^H3513 and all her great men^H1419 were bound^H7576 in chains.^H2131
