For the sons^H1121 of Athaliah,^H6271 that wicked^H4849 woman, had broken up^H6555 the house^H1004 of God;^H430 and also all the dedicated things^H6944 of the house^H1004 of Jehovah^H3068 did they bestow^H6213 upon the Baalim.^H1168

[Though] hand^H3027 [join] in hand,^H3027 the evil^H7451 man shall not be unpunished;^H5352 But the seed^H2233 of the righteous^H6662 shall be delivered.^H4422

And if thou say^H559 in thy heart,^H3824 Wherefore are these things come^H7122 upon me? for the greatness^H7230 of thine iniquity^H5771 are thy skirts^H7757 uncovered,^H1540 and thy heels^H6119 suffer violence.^H2554

And thou didst take^H3947 of thy garments,^H899 and madest for thee high places^H1116 decked^H6213 with divers colors,^H2921 and playedst the harlot^H2181 upon them: [the like things] shall not come,^H935 neither shall it be [so].

Thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah,^H3069 Because thy filthiness^H5178 was poured out,^H8210 and thy nakedness^H6172 uncovered^H1540 through thy whoredoms^H8457 with thy lovers;^H157 and because of all the idols^H1544 of thy abominations,^H8441 and for the blood^H1818 of thy children,^H1121 that thou didst give^H5414 unto them;

lest I strip^H6584 her naked,^H6174 and set^H3322 her as in the day^H3117 that she was born,^H3205 and make^H7760 her as a wilderness,^H4057 and set^H7896 her like a dry^H6723 land,^H776 and slay^H4191 her with thirst.^H6772

Israel^H3478 is a luxuriant^H1238 vine,^H1612 that putteth forth^H7737 his fruit:^H6529 according to the abundance^H7230 of his fruit^H6529 he hath multiplied^H7235 his altars;^H4196 according to the goodness^H2896 of their land^H776 they have made goodly^H2895 [ pillars.]^H4676

Therefore am I unto them as a lion;^H7826 as a leopard^H5246 will I watch^H7789 by the way;^H1870
