a nation^H1471 of fierce^H5794 countenance,^H6440 that shall not regard^H5375 the person^H6440 of the old,^H2205 nor show favor^H2603 to the young,^H5288

And now whereas^H6258 my father^H1 did lade^H6006 you with a heavy^H3515 yoke,^H5923 I will add^H3254 to your yoke:^H5923 my father^H1 chastised^H3256 you with whips,^H7752 but I [will chastise you] with scorpions.^H6137

Therefore he brought^H5927 upon them the king^H4428 of the Chaldeans,^H3778 who slew^H2026 their young men^H970 with the sword^H2719 in the house^H1004 of their sanctuary,^H4720 and had no compassion^H2550 upon young man^H970 or virgin,^H1330 old man^H2205 or hoary-headed:^H3486 he gave^H5414 them all into his hand.^H3027

But^H3861 after^H4481 that our fathers^H2 had provoked^H7265 the God^H426 of heaven^H8065 unto wrath,^H7265 he gave^H3052 them^H1994 into the hand^H3028 of Nebuchadnezzar^H5020 king^H4430 of Babylon,^H895 the Chaldean,^H3679 who destroyed^H5642 this^H1836 house,^H1005 and carried^H1541 the people^H5972 away^H1541 into Babylon.^H895

I will send^H7971 him against a profane^H2611 nation,^H1471 and against the people^H5971 of my wrath^H5678 will I give him a charge,^H6680 to take^H7997 the spoil,^H7998 and to take^H962 the prey,^H957 and to tread them down^H7760 like the mire^H2563 of the streets.^H2351

that made^H7760 the world^H8398 as a wilderness,^H4057 and overthrew^H2040 the cities^H5892 thereof; that let not loose^H6605 his prisoners^H615 to their home?^H1004

Therefore I will profane^H2490 the princes^H8269 of the sanctuary;^H6944 and I will make^H5414 Jacob^H3290 a curse,^H2764 and Israel^H3478 a reviling.^H1421

The anger^H6440 of Jehovah^H3068 hath scattered^H2505 them; He will no more^H3254 regard^H5027 them: They respected^H5375 not the persons^H6440 of the priests,^H3548 they favored^H2603 not the elders.^H2205

By the abundance^H7230 of your traffic^H7404 they filled^H4390 the midst^H8432 of you with violence,^H2555 and you have sinned:^H2398 therefore have I cast you as profane^H2490 out of the mountain^H2022 of God;^H430 and I have destroyed^H6 you, O covering^H5526 cherub,^H3742 from the midst^H8432 of the stones^H68 of fire.^H784

For as ye have drunk^H8354 upon my holy^H6944 mountain,^H2022 so shall all the nations^H1471 drink^H8354 continually;^H8548 yea, they shall drink,^H8354 and swallow down,^H3886 and shall be as though they had not^H3808 been.

And I am very^H1419 sore^H7110 displeased^H7107 with the nations^H1471 that are at ease;^H7600 for I was but a little^H4592 displeased,^H7107 and they helped^H5826 forward the affliction.^H7451

For^G1063 judgment^G2920 [is] without mercy^G448 to him^G4160 that hath showed^G4160 no^G3361 mercy:^{G1656 G2532} mercy^G1656 glorieth against^G2620 judgment.^G2920
