And all the congregation^H5712 lifted up^H5375 their voice,^H6963 and cried;^H5414 and the people^H5971 wept^H1058 that night.^H3915

And thy house^H1004 and thy kingdom^H4467 shall be made^H539 sure for^H5704 ever^H5769 before^H6440 thee: thy throne^H3678 shall be established^H3559 for^H5704 ever.^H5769

And^H7725 when all Israel^H3478 saw^H7200 that the king^H4428 hearkened^H8085 not unto them, the people^H5971 answered^H1697 the king,^H4428 saying,^H559 What portion^H2506 have we in David?^H1732 neither have we inheritance^H5159 in the son^H1121 of Jesse:^H3448 to your tents,^H168 O Israel:^H3478 now see^H7200 to thine own house,^H1004 David.^H1732 So Israel^H3478 departed^H3212 unto their tents.^H168

For the Lord^H136 had made the host^H4264 of the Syrians^H758 to hear^H8085 a noise^H6963 of chariots,^H7393 and a noise^H6963 of horses,^H5483 even the noise^H6963 of a great^H1419 host:^H2428 and they said^H559 one^H376 to another,^H251 Lo, the king^H4428 of Israel^H3478 hath hired^H7936 against us the kings^H4428 of the Hittites,^H2850 and the kings^H4428 of the Egyptians,^H4714 to come^H935 upon us.

Then certain^H582 of the heads^H7218 of the children^H1121 of Ephraim,^H669 Azariah^H5838 the son^H1121 of Johanan,^H3076 Berechiah^H1296 the son^H1121 of Meshillemoth,^H4919 and Jehizkiah^H3169 the son^H1121 of Shallum,^H7967 and Amasa^H6021 the son^H1121 of Hadlai,^H2311 stood up^H6965 against them that came^H935 from the war,^H6635

[ A Psalm of David.] Jehovah^H3068 is my light^H216 and my salvation;^H3468 Whom shall I fear?^H3372 Jehovah^H3068 is the strength^H4581 of my life;^H2416 Of whom shall I be afraid?^H6342

The wicked^H7563 flee^H5127 when no man pursueth;^H7291 But the righteous^H6662 are bold^H982 as a lion.^H3715

And he said,^H559 Hear^H8085 ye now, O house^H1004 of David:^H1732 Is it a small thing^H4592 for you to weary^H3811 men,^H582 that ye will weary^H3811 my God^H430 also?

Say^H559 ye not, A conspiracy,^H7195 concerning all whereof this people^H5971 shall say,^H559 A conspiracy;^H7195 neither fear^H3372 ye their fear,^H4172 nor be in dread^H4172 [thereof].

The envy^H7068 also of Ephraim^H669 shall depart,^H5493 and they that vex^H6887 Judah^H3063 shall be cut off:^H3772 Ephraim^H669 shall not envy^H7065 Judah,^H3063 and Judah^H3063 shall not vex^H6887 Ephraim.^H669

Therefore their inhabitants^H3427 were of small^H7116 power,^H3027 they were dismayed^H2865 and confounded;^H954 they were as the grass^H6212 of the field,^H7704 and as the green^H3419 herb,^H1877 as the grass^H2682 on the housetops,^H1406 and as a field [of grain]^H7709 before^H6440 it is grown up.^H7054

O house^H1004 of David,^H1732 thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 Execute^H1777 justice^H4941 in the morning,^H1242 and deliver^H5337 him that is robbed^H1497 out of the hand^H3027 of the oppressor,^H6231 lest my wrath^H2534 go forth^H3318 like fire,^H784 and burn^H1197 so that none can quench^H3518 it, because^H6440 of the evil^H7455 of your doings.^H4611

Ephraim^H669 feedeth^H7462 on wind,^H7307 and followeth^H7291 after the east wind:^H6921 he continually^H3117 multiplieth^H7235 lies^H3577 and desolation;^H7701 and they make^H3772 a covenant^H1285 with Assyria,^H804 and oil^H8081 is carried^H2986 into Egypt.^H4714
