Know^H3045 therefore that Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 he is God,^H430 the faithful^H539 God,^H430 who keepeth^H8104 covenant^H1285 and lovingkindness^H2617 with them that love^H157 him and keep^H8104 his commandments^H4687 to a thousand^H505 generations,^H1755

you shall not listen^H8085 unto the words^H1697 of that prophet,^H5030 or unto that dreamer^H2492 of dreams:^H2472 for Jehovah^H3068 your God^H430 proveth^H5254 you, to know^H3045 whether you^H3426 love^H157 Jehovah^H3068 your God^H430 with all your heart^H3824 and with all your soul.^H5315

Behold, happy^H835 is the man^H582 whom God^H433 correcteth:^H3198 Therefore despise^H3988 not thou the chastening^H4148 of the Almighty.^H7706

Blessed^H835 is the man^H1397 whom thou chastenest,^H3256 O Jehovah,^H3050 And teachest^H3925 out of thy law;^H8451

It is good^H2896 for me that I have been afflicted;^H6031 That I may learn^H3925 thy statutes.^H2706

My son,^H1121 despise^H3988 not the chastening^H4148 of Jehovah;^H3068 Neither be weary^H6973 of his reproof:^H8433

For from of old^H5769 men have not heard,^H8085 nor perceived by the ear,^H238 neither hath the eye^H5869 seen^H7200 a God^H430 besides^H2108 thee, who worketh^H6213 for him that waiteth^H2442 for him.

But who can abide^H3557 the day^H3117 of his coming?^H935 and who shall stand^H5975 when he appeareth?^H7200 for he is like a refiner's^H6884 fire,^H784 and like fuller's^H3526 soap:^H1287

And^G1161 Jesus^G2424 said^G2036 unto them,^G846 Verily^G281 I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 that^G3754 ye^G5210 who have followed^G190 me,^G3427 in^G1722 the regeneration^G3824 when^G3752 the Son^G5207 of man^G444 shall sit^G2523 on the throne^G2362 of^G1391 his^G846 glory,^G1391 ye^G5210 also^G2532 shall sit^G2523 upon^G1909 twelve^G1427 thrones,^G2362 judging^G2919 the twelve^G1427 tribes^G5443 of Israel.^G2474

But ye^G5210 are^G2075 they that^G3588 have continued^G1265 with^G3326 me^G1700 in^G1722 my^G3450 temptations;^G3986

And^G1161 we know^G1492 that^G3754 to them that love^G25 God^G2316 all things^G3956 work together^G4903 for^G1519 good,^G18 [even] to them that are^G5607 called^G2822 according to^G2596 [his] purpose.^G4286

but^G1161 if^G1487 any man^G5100 loveth^G25 God,^G2316 the same^G3778 is known^G1097 by^G5259 him.^G846

henceforth^G3063 there is laid up^G606 for me^G3427 the crown^G4735 of righteousness,^G1343 which^G3739 the Lord,^G2962 the righteous^G1342 judge,^G2923 shall give^G591 to me^G3427 at^G1722 that^G1565 day;^G2250 and^G1161 not^G3756 to me^G1698 only,^G3440 but^G235 also^G2532 to all^G3956 them^G25 that have loved^G25 his^G846 appearing.^G2015

But^G1161 call to remembrance^G363 the former^G4386 days,^G2250 in^G1722 which,^G3739 after ye were enlightened,^G5461 ye endured^G5278 a^G119 great^G4183 conflict^G119 of sufferings;^G3804

and^G2532 ye have forgotten^G1585 the exhortation^G3874 which^G3748 reasoneth^G1256 with you^G5213 as^G5613 with sons,^G5207 My^G3450 son,^G5207 regard^G3643 not^G3361 lightly^G3643 the chastening^G3809 of the Lord,^G2962 Nor^G3366 faint^G1590 when thou art reproved^G1651 of^G5259 him;^G846

Hearken,^G191 my^G3450 beloved^G27 brethren;^G80 did^G1586 not^G3756 God^G2316 choose^G1586 them that are poor^G4434 as to the^G5127 world^G2889 [to be] rich^G4145 in^G1722 faith,^G4102 and^G2532 heirs^G2818 of the kingdom^G932 which^G3739 he promised^G1861 to them that^G3588 love^G25 him?^G846

Wherein^G1722 ye greatly rejoice,^G21 though now^G737 for a little while,^G3641 if^G1487 need be,^G1163 ye have been^G2076 put to grief^G3076 in^G1722 manifold^G4164 trials,^G3986

but^G235 insomuch as^G2526 ye are partakers^G2841 of Christ's^G5547 sufferings,^G3804 rejoice;^G5463 that^G2443 at^G1722 the revelation^G602 of his^G846 glory^G1391 also^G2532 ye may rejoice^G5463 with exceeding joy.^G21

And^G1161 the God^G2316 of all^G3956 grace,^G5485 who^G3588 called^G2564 you^G2248 unto^G1519 his^G846 eternal^G166 glory^G1391 in^G1722 Christ,^{G5547 G2424} after that ye have suffered^G3958 a little while,^G3641 shall^G2675 himself^{G846 G5209} perfect,^G2675 establish,^G4741 strengthen^G4599 you.^G2311

Fear^G5399 not^G3367 the things which^G3739 thou art about^G3195 to suffer:^G3958 behold,^G2400 the devil^G1228 is about^G3195 to cast^G906 some of^G1537 you^G5216 into^G1519 prison,^G5438 that^G2443 ye may be tried;^G3985 and^G2532 ye shall have^G2192 tribulation^G2347 ten^G1176 days.^G2250 Be thou^G1096 faithful^G4103 unto^G891 death,^G2288 and^G2532 I will give^G1325 thee^G4671 the crown^G4735 of life.^G2222

He^G846 that overcometh,^G3528 I will give^G1325 to him to sit^G2523 down with^G3326 me^G1700 in^G1722 my^G3450 throne,^G2362 as^G5613 I also^G2504 overcame,^G3528 and^G2532 sat down^G2523 with^G3326 my^G3450 Father^G3962 in^G1722 his^G846 throne.^G2362
