But from thence ye shall seek^H1245 Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 and thou shalt find^H4672 him, when thou searchest^H1875 after him with all thy heart^H3824 and with all thy soul.^H5315

Then all the children^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 and all the people,^H5971 went up,^H5927 and came^H935 unto ^H1004 Beth-el,^H430 and wept,^H1058 and sat^H3427 there before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 and fasted^H6684 that day^H3117 until even;^H6153 and they offered^H5927 burnt-offerings^H5930 and peace-offerings^H5930 before^H6440 Jehovah.^H3068

And they gathered together^H6908 to Mizpah,^H4709 and drew^H7579 water,^H4325 and poured it out^H8210 before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 and fasted^H6684 on that day,^H3117 and said^H559 there, We have sinned^H2398 against Jehovah.^H3068 And Samuel^H8050 judged^H8199 the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 in Mizpah.^H4708

yet if they shall bethink^H7725 themselves in the land^H776 whither they are carried captive,^H7617 and turn^H7725 again, and make supplication^H2603 unto thee in the land^H776 of them that carried them captive,^H7617 saying,^H559 We have sinned,^H2398 and have done perversely,^H5753 we have dealt wickedly;^H7561

if they return^H7725 unto thee with all their heart^H3820 and with all their soul^H5315 in the land^H776 of their captivity,^H7628 whither they have carried them captive,^H7617 and pray^H6419 toward^H1870 their land,^H776 which thou gavest^H5414 unto their fathers,^H1 and the city^H5892 which thou hast chosen,^H977 and toward the house^H1004 which I have built^H1129 for thy name:^H8034

And Jehoshaphat^H3092 feared,^H3372 and set^H5414 himself^H6440 to seek^H1875 unto Jehovah;^H3068 and he proclaimed^H7121 a fast^H6685 throughout^H5921 all Judah.^H3063

Now in the twenty^H6242 and fourth^H702 day^H3117 of this month^H2320 the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 were assembled^H622 with fasting,^H6685 and with sackcloth,^H8242 and earth^H127 upon them.

Seek^H1875 ye Jehovah^H3068 while he may be found;^H4672 call^H7121 ye upon him while he is near:^H7138

If thou wilt return,^H7725 O Israel,^H3478 saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 if thou wilt return^H7725 unto me, and if thou wilt put away^H5493 thine abominations^H8251 out of my sight;^H6440 then shalt thou not be removed;^H5110

It may be they will present^H5307 their supplication^H8467 before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 and will return^H7725 every one^H376 from his evil^H7451 way;^H1870 for great^H1419 is the anger^H639 and the wrath^H2534 that Jehovah^H3068 hath pronounced^H1696 against this people.^H5971

Come,^H3212 and let us return^H7725 unto Jehovah;^H3068 for he hath torn,^H2963 and he will heal^H7495 us; he hath smitten,^H5221 and he will bind us up.^H2280

[He is] a trafficker,^H3667 the balances^H3976 of deceit^H4820 are in his hand:^H3027 he loveth^H157 to oppress.^H6231

Gird^H2296 yourselves [with sackcloth], and lament,^H5594 ye priests;^H3548 wail,^H3213 ye ministers^H8334 of the altar;^H4196 come,^H935 lie all night^H3885 in sackcloth,^H8242 ye ministers^H8334 of my God:^H430 for the meal-offering^H4503 and the drink-offering^H5262 are withholden^H4513 from the house^H1004 of your God.^H430

Therefore say^H559 thou unto them, Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts:^H6635 Return^H7725 unto me, saith^H5002 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 and I will return^H7725 unto you, saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts.^H6635

Speak^H559 unto all the people^H5971 of the land,^H776 and to the priests,^H3548 saying,^H559 When ye fasted^H6684 and mourned^H5594 in the fifth^H2549 and in the seventh^H7637 [month], even these seventy^H7657 years,^H8141 did ye at all^H6684 fast^H6684 unto me, even to me?

but^G235 declared^G518 both to them^G3588 of^G1722 Damascus^G1154 first^G4412 and^G2532 at Jerusalem,^G2414 and^G5037 throughout^G1519 all^G3956 the country^G5561 of Judaea,^G2449 and^G2532 also to the Gentiles,^G1484 that they should repent^G3340 and^G2532 turn^G1994 to^G1909 God,^G2316 doing^G4238 works^G2041 worthy^G514 of repentance.^G3341
