My brethren^H251 have dealt deceitfully^H898 as a brook,^H5158 As the channel^H650 of brooks^H5158 that pass away;^H5674

He hath put^H7368 my brethren^H251 far^H7368 from me, And mine acquaintance^H3045 are wholly estranged^H2114 from me.

Because of all mine adversaries^H6887 I am become a reproach,^H2781 Yea, unto my neighbors^H7934 exceedingly,^H3966 And a fear^H6343 to mine acquaintance:^H3045 They that did see^H7200 me without^H2351 fled^H5074 from me.

In the day^H3117 of my trouble^H6869 I sought^H1875 the Lord:^H136 My hand^H3027 was stretched^H5064 out in the night,^H3915 and slacked^H6313 not; My soul^H5315 refused^H3985 to be comforted.^H5162

There is none to guide^H5095 her among all the sons^H1121 whom she hath brought forth;^H3205 neither is there any that taketh^H2388 her by the hand^H3027 among all the sons^H1121 that she hath brought up.^H1431

And thou, when thou art made desolate,^H7703 what wilt thou do?^H6213 Though thou clothest^H3847 thyself with scarlet,^H8144 though thou deckest^H5710 thee with ornaments^H5716 of gold,^H2091 though thou enlargest^H7167 thine eyes^H5869 with paint,^H6320 in vain^H7723 dost thou make thyself fair;^H3302 [thy] lovers^H5689 despise^H3988 thee, they seek^H1245 thy life.^H5315

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 Consider^H995 ye, and call^H7121 for the mourning women,^H6969 that they may come;^H935 and send^H7971 for the skilful^H2450 women, that they may come:^H935

Go up^H5927 to Lebanon,^H3844 and cry;^H6817 and lift up^H5414 thy voice^H6963 in Bashan,^H1316 and cry^H6817 from Abarim;^H5676 for all thy lovers^H157 are destroyed.^H7665

Her filthiness^H2932 was in her skirts;^H7757 she remembered^H2142 not her latter end;^H319 Therefore is she come down^H3381 wonderfully;^H6382 she hath no comforter:^H5162 Behold,^H7200 O Jehovah,^H3068 my affliction;^H6040 for the enemy^H341 hath magnified^H1431 himself.

I called^H7121 for my lovers,^H157 [but] they deceived^H7411 me: My priests^H3548 and mine elders^H2205 gave up the ghost^H1478 in the city,^H5892 While they sought^H1245 them food^H400 to refresh^H7725 their souls.^H5315

Mine eyes^H5869 do fail^H3615 with tears,^H1832 my heart^H4578 is troubled;^H2560 My liver^H3516 is poured^H8210 upon the earth,^H776 because of the destruction^H7667 of the daughter^H1323 of my people,^H5971 Because the young children^H5768 and the sucklings^H3243 swoon^H5848 in the streets^H7339 of the city.^H7151

therefore behold, I will gather^H6908 all thy lovers,^H157 with whom thou hast taken pleasure,^H6149 and all them that thou hast loved,^H157 with all them that thou hast hated;^H8130 I will even gather^H6908 them against thee on every side,^H5439 and will uncover^H1540 thy nakedness^H6172 unto them, that they may see^H7200 all thy nakedness.^H6172

And she shall follow^H7291 after her lovers,^H157 but she shall not overtake^H5381 them; and she shall seek^H1245 them, but shall not find^H4672 them: then shall she say,^H559 I will go^H3212 and return^H7725 to my first^H7223 husband;^H376 for then was it better^H2896 with me than now.^H6258

These^G3778 have^G2192 one^G1520 mind,^G1106 and^G2532 they give^G1239 their^G1438 power^G1411 and^G2532 authority^G1849 unto the beast.^G2342
