keeping^H5341 lovingkindness^H2617 for thousands,^H505 forgiving^H5375 iniquity^H5771 and transgression^H6588 and sin;^H2403 and that will by no means^H5352 clear^H5352 [the guilty], visiting^H6485 the iniquity^H5771 of the fathers^H1 upon the children,^H1121 and upon the children's^H1121 children, upon the third^H8029 and upon the fourth^H7256 generation.

thou shalt not bow down^H7812 thyself unto them, nor serve^H5647 them; for I, Jehovah,^H3068 thy God,^H430 am a jealous^H7067 God,^H430 visiting^H6485 the iniquity^H5771 of the fathers^H1 upon the children,^H1121 and upon the third^H8029 and upon the fourth^H7256 generation of them that hate^H8130 me;

And among these^H1992 nations^H1471 shalt thou find no ease,^H7280 and there shall be no rest^H4494 for the sole^H3709 of thy foot:^H7272 but Jehovah^H3068 will give^H5414 thee there a trembling^H7268 heart,^H3820 and failing^H3631 of eyes,^H5869 and pining^H1671 of soul;^H5315

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 Behold, I will bring^H935 evil^H7451 upon this place,^H4725 and upon the inhabitants^H3427 thereof, even all the curses^H423 that are written^H3789 in the book^H5612 which they have read^H7121 before^H6440 the king^H4428 of Judah.^H3063

but if ye return^H7725 unto me, and keep^H8104 my commandments^H4687 and do^H6213 them, though your outcasts^H5080 were in the uttermost part^H7097 of the heavens,^H8064 yet will I gather^H6908 them from thence, and will bring^H935 them unto the place^H4725 that I have chosen,^H977 to cause my name^H8034 to dwell^H7931 there.

that they may want^H2637 bread^H3899 and water,^H4325 and be dismayed^H8074 one^H376 with another,^H251 and pine away^H4743 in their iniquity.^H5771

What mean ye, that ye use^H4911 this proverb^H4912 concerning the land^H127 of Israel,^H3478 saying,^H559 The fathers^H1 have eaten^H398 sour grapes,^H1155 and the children's^H1121 teeth^H8127 are set on edge?^H6949

And there shall ye remember^H2142 your ways,^H1870 and all your doings,^H5949 wherein ye have polluted^H2930 yourselves; and ye shall loathe^H6962 yourselves in your own sight^H6440 for all your evils^H7451 that ye have committed.^H6213

And thou, son^H1121 of man,^H120 say^H559 unto the house^H1004 of Israel:^H3478 Thus ye speak,^H559 saying,^H559 Our transgressions^H6588 and our sins^H2403 are upon us, and we pine away^H4743 in them; how then can we live?^H2421
