If a man^H376 deliver^H5414 unto his neighbor^H7453 an ass,^H2543 or an ox,^H7794 or a sheep,^H7716 or any beast,^H929 to keep;^H8104 and it die,^H4191 or be hurt,^H7665 or driven away,^H7617 no man seeing^H7200 it:

Six^H8337 days^H3117 shall work^H4399 be done;^H6213 but on the seventh^H7637 day^H3117 there shall be to you a holy day,^H6944 a sabbath^H7676 of solemn rest^H7677 to Jehovah:^H3068 whosoever doeth^H6213 any work^H4399 therein shall be put to death.^H4191

If thou turn away^H7725 thy foot^H7272 from the sabbath,^H7676 from doing^H6213 thy pleasure^H2656 on my holy^H6944 day;^H3117 and call^H7121 the sabbath^H7676 a delight,^H6027 [and] the holy^H6918 of Jehovah^H3068 honorable;^H3513 and shalt honor^H3513 it, not doing^H6213 thine own ways,^H1870 nor finding^H4672 thine own pleasure,^H2656 nor speaking^H1696 [thine own] words:^H1697

Why^G5101 do^G3845 thy^G4675 disciples^G3101 transgress^G3845 the tradition^G3862 of the elders?^G4245 for^G1063 they wash^G3538 not^G3756 their^G846 hands^G5495 when^G3752 they eat^G2068 bread.^G740

And^G2532 the Pharisees^G5330 said^G3004 unto him,^G846 Behold,^G1492 why^G5101 do they^G4160 on^G1722 the sabbath day^G4521 that which^G3739 is^G1832 not^G3756 lawful?^G1832

And^G1161 the scribes^G1122 and^G2532 the Pharisees^G5330 watched^G3906 him,^G846 whether^G1487 he would heal^G2323 on^G1722 the sabbath;^G4521 that^G2443 they might find^G2147 how to accuse^G2724 him.^G846

And^G2532 for^G1223 this^G5124 cause^G1377 the Jews^G2453 persecuted^G1377 Jesus,^G2424 because^G3754 he did^G4160 these things^G5023 on^G1722 the sabbath.^G4521
