And he shall not profane^H2490 his seed^H2233 among his people:^H5971 for I am Jehovah^H3068 who sanctifieth^H6942 him.

Nay, my sons;^H1121 for it is no good^H2896 report^H8052 that I hear:^H8085 ye make Jehovah's^H3068 people^H5971 to transgress.^H5674

And Urijah^H223 the priest^H3548 built^H1129 an altar:^H4196 according to all that king^H4428 Ahaz^H271 had sent^H7971 from Damascus,^H1834 so did Urijah^H223 the priest^H3548 make^H6213 it against the coming^H935 of king^H4428 Ahaz^H271 from Damascus.^H1834

For I have kept^H8104 the ways^H1870 of Jehovah,^H3068 And have not wickedly departed^H7561 from my God.^H430

A man^H376 shall be commended^H1984 according^H6310 to his wisdom;^H7922 But he that is of a perverse^H5753 heart^H3820 shall be despised.^H937

get you out^H5493 of the way,^H1870 turn aside^H5186 out of the path,^H734 cause the Holy One^H6918 of Israel^H3478 to cease^H7673 from before^H6440 us.

The priests^H3548 said^H559 not, Where is Jehovah?^H3068 and they that handle^H8610 the law^H8451 knew^H3045 me not: the rulers^H7462 also transgressed^H6586 against me, and the prophets^H5030 prophesied^H5012 by Baal,^H1168 and walked^H1980 after^H310 things that do not profit.^H3276

O Jehovah,^H3068 the hope^H4723 of Israel,^H3478 all that forsake^H5800 thee shall be put to shame.^H954 They that depart^H3249 from me^H5493 shall be written^H3789 in the earth,^H776 because they have forsaken^H5800 Jehovah,^H3068 the fountain^H4726 of living^H2416 waters.^H4325

for both prophet^H5030 and priest^H3548 are profane;^H2610 yea, in my house^H1004 have I found^H4672 their wickedness,^H7451 saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

in that ye have brought^H935 in foreigners,^H1121 uncircumcised^H6189 in heart^H3820 and uncircumcised^H6189 in flesh,^H1320 to be in my sanctuary,^H4720 to profane^H2490 it, even my house,^H1004 when ye offer^H7126 my bread,^H3899 the fat^H2459 and the blood,^H1818 and they have broken^H6565 my covenant,^H1285 [to add]^H413 unto all your abominations.^H8441

Because they ministered^H8334 unto them before^H6440 their idols,^H1544 and became a stumblingblock^H4383 of iniquity^H5771 unto the house^H1004 of Israel;^H3478 therefore have I lifted up^H5375 my hand^H3027 against them, saith^H5002 the Lord^H136 Jehovah,^H3069 and they shall bear^H5375 their iniquity.^H5771

A son^H1121 honoreth^H3513 his father,^H1 and a servant^H5650 his master:^H113 if then I am a father,^H1 where is mine honor?^H3519 and if I am a master,^H113 where is my fear?^H4172 saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 unto you, O priests,^H3548 that despise^H959 my name.^H8034 And ye say,^H559 Wherein have we despised^H959 thy name?^H8034

Therefore have I also made^H5414 you contemptible^H959 and base^H8217 before all the people,^H5971 according^H6310 as ye have not kept^H8104 my ways,^H1870 but have had respect^H5375 of persons in the law.^H8451

And^G1161 one^G5100 of the lawyers^G3544 answering^G611 saith^G3004 unto him,^G846 Teacher,^G1320 in^G5023 saying^G3004 this thou reproachest^G5195 us^G2248 also.^G2532

It is good^G2570 not^G3361 to eat^G5315 flesh,^G2907 nor^G3366 to drink^G4095 wine,^G3631 nor^G3366 [to do anything] whereby^{G1722 G3739} thy^G4675 brother^G80 stumbleth.^G4350
