Like as a father^H1 pitieth^H7355 his children,^H1121 So Jehovah^H3068 pitieth^H7355 them that fear^H3373 him.

The eyes^H5869 of all wait^H7663 for thee; And thou givest^H5414 them their food^H400 in due season.^H6256

And^G2532 when he had fasted^G3522 forty^G5062 days^G2250 and^G2532 forty^G5062 nights,^G3571 he^G3983 afterward^G5305 hungered.^G3983

But^G1161 when he saw^G1492 the multitudes,^G3793 he was moved with compassion^G4697 for^G4012 them,^G846 because^G3754 they^G2258 were^G2258 distressed^G1590 and^G2532 scattered, as^G5616 sheep^G4263 not^G3361 having^G2192 a shepherd.^G4166

And^G1161 Jesus,^G2424 being moved with compassion,^G4697 touched^G680 their^G846 eyes;^G3788 and^G2532 straightway^G2112 they received their^G846 sight,^G308 and^G2532 followed^G190 him.^G846

And^G1161 he^G2424 suffered^G863 him^G846 not,^G3756 but^G235 saith^G3004 unto him,^G846 Go^G5217 to^G4314 thy house^{G3624 G4675} unto^G4314 thy friends,^G4674 and^G2532 tell^G312 them^G846 how great things^G3745 the Lord^G2962 hath done^G4160 for thee,^G4671 and^G2532 [how] he had mercy on^G1653 thee.^G4571

And^G2532 oft-times^G4178 it hath cast^G906 him^G846 both into^G1519 the fire^G4442 and^G2532 into^G1519 the waters,^G5204 to^G2443 destroy^G622 him:^G846 but^G235 if^G1487 thou canst do^G1410 anything,^G5100 have compassion^G4697 on^G1909 us,^G2248 and help^G997 us.^G2254

And^G2532 he arose,^G450 and came^G2064 to^G4314 his^G1438 father.^G3962 But^G1161 while he^G846 was^G568 yet^G2089 afar off,^G3112 his^G846 father^G3962 saw^G1492 him,^G846 and^G2532 was moved with compassion,^G4697 and^G2532 ran,^G5143 and fell^G1968 on^G1909 his^G846 neck,^G5137 and^G2532 kissed^G2705 him.^G846

They^G3767 went out^G1831 of^G1537 the city,^G4172 and^G2532 were coming^G2064 to^G4314 him.^G846

For^G1063 we have^G2192 not^G3756 a high priest^G749 that ^G1410 cannot^G3361 be touched with the feeling^G4834 of our^G2257 infirmities;^G769 but^G1161 one that hath been^G3985 in^G2596 all points^G3956 tempted^{G3985 G3987} like^G2596 as^G3665 [we are, yet] without^G5565 sin.^G266
