And David^H1732 said^H559 to Abigail,^H26 Blessed^H1288 be Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 who sent^H7971 thee this day^H3117 to meet^H7125 me:

Hear^H8085 my words,^H4405 ye wise^H2450 men; And give ear^H238 unto me, ye that have knowledge.^H3045

If now [thou hast] understanding,^H998 hear^H8085 this: Hearken^H238 to the voice^H6963 of my words.^H4405

Thy commandments^H4687 make me wiser^H2449 than mine enemies;^H341 For they are ever^H5769 with me.

Reprove^H3198 not a scoffer,^H3887 lest he hate^H8130 thee: Reprove^H3198 a wise man,^H2450 and he will love^H157 thee.

Whoso loveth^H157 correction^H4148 loveth^H157 knowledge;^H1847 But he that hateth^H8130 reproof^H8433 is brutish.^H1198

Smite^H5221 a scoffer,^H3887 and the simple^H6612 will learn prudence;^H6191 And reprove^H3198 one that hath understanding,^H995 [and] he will understand^H995 knowledge.^H1847
