And Joseph^H3130 was the governor^H7989 over the land;^H776 he it was that sold^H7666 to all the people^H5971 of the land.^H776 And Joseph's^H3130 brethren^H251 came,^H935 and bowed down^H7812 themselves to him with their faces^H639 to the earth.^H776

And he said^H559 unto the king,^H4428 Let not my lord^H113 impute^H2803 iniquity^H5771 unto me, neither do thou remember^H2142 that which thy servant^H5650 did perversely^H5753 the day^H3117 that my lord^H113 the king^H4428 went out^H3318 of Jerusalem,^H3389 that the king^H4428 should take^H7760 it to his heart.^H3820

And the daughter^H1323 of Tyre^H6865 [shall be there] with a gift;^H4503 The rich^H6223 among the people^H5971 shall entreat^H2470 thy favor.^H6440

A bribe^H7810 is [as] a precious^H2580 stone^H68 in the eyes^H5869 of him that hath^H1167 it; Whithersoever it turneth,^H6437 it prospereth.^H7919

The king's^H4428 wrath^H2197 is as the roaring^H5099 of a lion;^H3715 But his favor^H7522 is as dew^H2919 upon the grass.^H6212

Many^H7227 seek^H1245 the ruler's^H4910 favor;^H6440 But a man's^H376 judgment^H4941 [cometh] from Jehovah.^H3068

For^G1063 the wages^G3800 of sin^G266 is death;^G2288 but^G1161 the free gift^G5486 of God^G2316 is eternal^G166 life^G2222 in^G1722 Christ^G5547 Jesus^G2424 our^G2257 Lord.^G2962
