who fed^H398 thee in the wilderness^H4057 with manna,^H4478 which thy fathers^H1 knew^H3045 not; that he might humble^H6031 thee, and that he might prove^H5254 thee, to do thee good^H3190 at thy latter end:^H319

And Jehovah^H3068 spake^H1696 to Manasseh,^H4519 and to his people;^H5971 but they gave no heed.^H7181

When they cast [thee] down,^H8213 thou shalt say,^H559 [There is] lifting up;^H1466 And the humble^H7807 person^H5869 he will save.^H3467

When pride^H2087 cometh,^H935 then cometh^H935 shame;^H7036 But with the lowly^H6800 is wisdom.^H2451

Pride^H1347 [goeth] before^H6440 destruction,^H7667 And a haughty^H1363 spirit^H7307 before^H6440 a fall.^H3783

The lofty^H1365 looks^H5869 of man^H120 shall be brought low,^H8213 and the haughtiness^H7312 of men^H582 shall be bowed down,^H7817 and Jehovah^H3068 alone shall be exalted^H7682 in that day.^H3117

For all these things hath my hand^H3027 made,^H6213 and [so] all these things came to be, saith^H5002 Jehovah:^H3068 but to this man will I look,^H5027 even to him that is poor^H6041 and of a contrite^H5223 spirit,^H7307 and that trembleth^H2730 at my word.^H1697

But when his heart^H3825 was lifted up,^H7313 and his spirit^H7308 was hardened^H8631 so that he dealt proudly,^H2103 he was deposed^H5182 from^H4481 his kingly^H4437 throne,^H3764 and they took^H5709 his glory^H3367 from him:^H4481

Blessed^G3107 are the poor^G4434 in spirit:^G4151 for^G3754 theirs^G846 is^G2076 the kingdom^G932 of heaven.^G3772

And^G1161 whosoever^G3748 shall exalt^G5312 himself^G1438 shall be humbled;^G5013 and^G2532 whosoever shall^G3748 humble^G5013 himself^G1438 shall be exalted.^G5312

I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 This man^G3778 went down^G2597 to^G1519 his^G846 house^G3624 justified^G1344 rather than^G2228 the other:^G1565 for^G3754 every one^G3956 that^G3588 exalteth^G5312 himself^G1438 shall be humbled;^G5013 but^G1161 he that^G3588 humbleth^G5013 himself^G1438 shall be exalted.^G5312

But^G1161 he giveth^G1325 more^G3173 grace.^G5485 Wherefore^G1352 [the scripture] saith,^G3004 God^G2316 resisteth^G498 the proud,^G5244 but^G1161 giveth^G1325 grace^G5485 to the humble.^G5011
