A foole vttereth his wrath in all the haste: but a discrete man couereth his owne shame.

An angry man stirreth vp strife: but he that is patient stylleth discorde.

The beginning of strife is, as when a man maketh an issue for water: therfore leaue of before the contention be medled with.

Say not thou, I wyll recompence euyll: but put thy trust in the Lorde, and he shall deliuer thee.

But I saye vnto you, loue your enemies, blesse them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, pray for the which hurt you, and persecute you:

If it be possible, as much as lyeth in you, lyue peaceably with all men.
