Thy tongue imagineth wickednes: and deceaueth like a sharpe raser.
They haue sharpened their tongue lyke a serpent: Adders poyson is vnder their lippes. Selah.
Their arrowes are sodayne death, yea they them selues be very giauntes.
Haue ye not seene vayne visions, and spoken false prophecies, when ye say, the Lorde hath spoken it, whereas I neuer sayde it.
Wo vnto you Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites: for ye are lyke vnto paynted sepulchres, which in dede appeare beautifull outwarde, but are within full of dead mens bones, and of all fylthynes.
Euen so the tongue is a litle member also, & boasteth great thynges. Beholde how great a matter a litle fire kindleth.
