Then Iacobs sonnes answered Sichem and Hemor his father (and spake disceatfully, because their sister Dina was defyled)

Absalom sayde: Shall my brother Ammon go with vs then? The kynge sayde vnto him: Wherfore shall he go with the?

And Ioab sayde vnto Amasa: Peace be with the my brother. And Ioab toke Amasa by the beerde with his righte hade, to kysse him.

O that the LORDE wolde rote out all disceatfull lippes, ad the tonge that speaketh proude thinges.

Though he came in to se, yet meaned he falsede in his hert, heapinge myschefe vpon himself.

A false balaunce is an abhominacion vnto the LORDE, but a true weight pleaseth him.

A iust man will tell the trueth, & shewethe thinge yt is right: but a false wytnesse disceaueth.

The wy?dome of him that hath vnderstondinge is, to take hede vnto his waye, but the foolishnesse of the vnwyse disceaueth.
