And when ye came againe, ye wept before the Lord, but the Lorde would not heare your voyce, nor incline his eares vnto you.

Will God heare his cry, when trouble commeth vpon him?

They cryed but there was none to saue them, euen vnto the Lorde, but hee answered them not.

And when hee slewe them, they sought him and they returned, and sought God earely.

And when you shall stretch out your hands, I wil hide mine eyes from you: and though ye make many prayers, I wil not heare: for your hands are full of blood.

When they fast, I will not heare their cry, and when they offer burnt offering, and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sworde, and by the famine and by the pestilence.

They shall goe with their sheepe, and with their bullockes to seeke the Lorde: but they shall not finde him: for he hath withdrawne himselfe from them.

And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the North euen vnto the East shal they run to and fro to seeke the worde of the Lord, and shall not finde it.

Therefore it is come to passe, that as he cried, and they would not heare, so they cried, and I would not heare, sayth the Lord of hostes.

And while they went to bye, the bridegrome came: and they that were readie, went in with him to the wedding, and the gate was shut.

Ye aske, and receiue not, because ye aske amisse, that ye might lay the same out on your pleasures.
