Howe sweete are thy promises vnto my mouth! yea, more then hony vnto my mouth.
I reioyce at thy worde, as one that findeth a great spoyle.
When wisdome entreth into thine heart, and knowledge deliteth thy soule,
My sonne, hearken vnto my wordes, incline thine eare vnto my sayings.
Giue eare, for I will speake of excellent things, and the opening of my lippes, shall teache things that be right.
The lippes of the righteous doe feede many: but fooles shall die for want of wisedome.
The wise in heart shall bee called prudent: and the sweetenesse of the lippes shall increase doctrine.
A word spoken in his place, is like apples of golde with pictures of siluer.
For the Priestes lippes shoulde preserue knowledge, and they shoulde seeke the Lawe at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lorde of hostes.
Let vs therefore by him offer the sacrifice of prayse alwaies to God, that is, the fruite of the lippes, which confesse his Name.
