(24:12) Moreouer my father, behold: behold, I say, the lappe of thy garment in mine hand: for when I cut off the lappe of thy garment, I killed thee not. Vnderstad & see, that there is neither euil nor wickednesse in mee, neither haue I sinned against thee, yet thou huntest after my soule to take it.

Was it not tolde my lord, what I did when Iezebel slew the Prophets of the Lord, how I hid an hundreth men of the Lordes Prophets by fifties in a caue, and fed them with bread & water?

So Dauid and the Elders of Israel and the captaines of thousandes went to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the house of Obed Edom with ioye.

And Dauid said to all the Congregation, Now blesse the Lord your God; all the Congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed downe their heads, and worshipped the Lord and the King.

And Hezekiah spake comfortably vnto all the Leuites that had good knowledge to sing vnto the Lorde: and they did eate in that feast seuen dayes, and offred peace offrings, and praysed the Lord God of their fathers.

And vnto the Iewes was come light and ioy and gladnes, and honour.

In the prosperitie of the righteous the citie reioyceth, and when the wicked perish, there is ioye.

When the righteous are in authoritie, the people reioyce: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people sigh.

Woe to thee, O lande, when thy King is a childe, and thy princes eate in the morning.

Then saide the princes vnto Baruch, Goe, hide thee, thou and Ieremiah, and let no man knowe where ye be.

And when he was nowe come neere to the going downe of the mount of Oliues, the whole multitude of the disciples began to reioyce, and to prayse God with a loude voyce, for all the great workes that they had seene,
