But when Pharaoh sawe that hee had rest giuen him, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not vnto them, as the Lord had said.

But Sihon the King of Heshbon would not let vs passe by him: for the Lorde thy God had hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, because hee would deliuer him into thine hand, as appeareth this day.

For it came of the Lorde, to harden their heartes that they shoulde come against Israel in battell to the intent that they shoulde destroye them vtterly, and shewe them no mercie, but that they shoulde bring them to nought: as the Lorde had commaunded Moses.

Be not ye now stiffenecked like your fathers, but giue the hand to the Lorde, and come into his sanctuarie, which he hath sanctified for euer, and serue the Lorde your God, & the fiercenesse of his wrath shall turne away from you.

But the wicked is kept vnto the day of destruction, and they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

The Lorde, that is at thy right hand, shall wound Kings in the day of his wrath.

A man that hardeneth his necke when he is rebuked, shall suddenly be destroyed and can not be cured.

Your gold and siluer is cankred, & the rust of them shalbe a witnesse against you, and shall eate your flesh, as it were fire. Ye haue heaped vp treasure for the last dayes.

But the heauens and earth, which are nowe, are kept by the same word in store, and reserued vnto fire against the day of condemnation, and of the destruction of vngodly men.

For the great day of his wrath is come, and who can stand?
