And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
And he said unto them, ‹These› [are] ‹the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and› [in] ‹the prophets, and› [in] ‹the psalms, concerning me.›
‹But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.›
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, ‹I thirst.›
And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did [it], as [did] also your rulers.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
¶ And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into [his] lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening.
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which [vail] is done away in Christ.
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did [it] ignorantly in unbelief.
