And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually.
And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. What [is] man, that he should be clean? and [he which is] born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
¶ Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
How fair is thy love, my sister, [my] spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!
Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, [even] thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Behold, [it is] written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.
‹For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:›
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
¶ And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [which were sent] from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
¶ From whence [come] wars and fightings among you? [come they] not hence, [even] of your lusts that war in your members?
[And] we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
