¶ ‹But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in› [yourselves], ‹neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.›
¶ Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?
The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
¶ Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.
