O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
For a day in thy courts [is] better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
¶ Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise [him], O ye servants of the LORD.
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid [their] hands on them, they sent [them] away.
Unto which [promise] our twelve tribes, instantly serving [God] day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
‹Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God,› [which is] ‹new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and› [I will write upon him] ‹my new name.›
