‹For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.›

¶ And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, ‹The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:›

Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and [of] the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

¶ And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know [it].

Saying, ‹The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.›

¶ Then he took [unto him] the twelve, and said unto them, ‹Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.›

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
