TSK · Matthew 11:7

¶ In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

‹The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men?› And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?

And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

‹Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.›

‹He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.›

That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
