¶ How much better [is it] to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

¶ Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh [and] intermeddleth with all wisdom.

¶ Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, ‹The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:›

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

‹So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.›
