They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

¶ Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

‹Therefore when thou doest› [thine] ‹alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.›

When Jesus heard [it], he marvelled, and said to them that followed, ‹Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.›

‹But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.›

‹Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.›

‹Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.›

And said, ‹Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.›

¶ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, ‹Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.›

Jesus answered and said unto them, ‹Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this› [which is done] ‹to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.›

‹Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.›

‹Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.›

‹But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.›

‹Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did› [it] ‹not to one of the least of these, ye did› [it] ‹not to me.›

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
