I the LORD search the heart, [I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, [and] according to the fruit of his doings.
‹But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.›
‹And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold› [water] ‹only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.›
‹For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither› [any thing] ‹hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.›
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
