Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

[The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war [was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet [were] they drawn swords.

¶ Burning lips and a wicked heart [are like] a potsherd covered with silver dross.

And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This [man] blasphemeth.

¶ And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
