And again, whom should I serve? [should I] not [serve] in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lips [and] with a double heart do they speak.

My soul [is] among lions: [and] I lie [even among] them that are set on fire, [even] the sons of men, whose teeth [are] spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

They only consult to cast [him] down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

For the lips of a strange woman drop [as] an honeycomb, and her mouth [is] smoother than oil:

¶ He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;

¶ A lying tongue hateth [those that are] afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

¶ And they watched [him], and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
