And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.

‹And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:›

¶ [Cometh] this blessedness then upon the circumcision [only], or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

¶ Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
