Approach me! Listen to this! From the very first I have not spoken in secret; when it happens, I am there.” So now, the Sovereign LORD has sent me, accompanied by his Spirit.

After Jesus was baptized, just as he was coming up out of the water, the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him.

But if he does not listen, take one or two others with you, so that at the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established.

¶ The Prologue to the Gospel In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God.

For just as the Father has life in himself, thus he has granted the Son to have life in himself,

I testify about myself and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”

The Father and I are one.”

Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came from heaven,“I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

And we are witnesses of these events, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.

Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood– not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
