Saul tried to nail David to the wall with the spear, but he escaped from Saul’s presence and the spear drove into the wall. David escaped quickly that night.

If he should then say,‘That’s fine,’ then your servant is safe. But if he becomes very angry, be assured that he has decided to harm me.

Deliver those being taken away to death, and hold back those slipping to the slaughter.

Do not let yourself be quickly provoked, for anger resides in the lap of fools.
