The man said,“The woman whom you gave me, she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it.”

The Israelites said to them,“If only we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger!”

When Samuel came to Saul, Saul said to him,“May the LORD bless you! I have fulfilled the LORD’s orders.”

for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin.

You can try to wash away your guilt with a strong detergent. You can use as much soap as you want. But the stain of your guilt is still there for me to see,” says the Sovereign LORD.

Then they too will answer,‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not give you whatever you needed?’
