TSK · 2 Timothy 2:8

and said to them,“Thus it stands written that the Christ would suffer and would rise from the dead on the third day,

So then, because he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one of his descendants on his throne,

concerning his Son who was a descendant of David with reference to the flesh,

Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that had been kept secret for long ages,

and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures,

He called you to this salvation through our gospel, so that you may possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For this I was appointed a preacher and apostle– I am telling the truth; I am not lying– and a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Then one of the elders said to me,“Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered; thus he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
