He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, just as the LORD commanded, by the authority of Moses.

These two went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.

While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

From there they sailed back to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had now completed.

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written,“How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news.”

Do not lay hands on anyone hastily and so identify with the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

And what you heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be competent to teach others as well.

Therefore we ought to support such people, so that we become coworkers in cooperation with the truth.
