As for you, you meant to harm me, but God intended it for a good purpose, so he could preserve the lives of many people, as you can see this day.

Certainly your angry judgment upon men will bring you praise; you reveal your anger in full measure.

They say,“Let him hurry, let him act quickly, so we can see; let the plan of the Holy One of Israel take shape and come to pass, then we will know it!”

Who comprehends the mind of the LORD, or gives him instruction as his counselor?

Though the LORD desired to crush him and make him ill, once restitution is made, he will see descendants and enjoy long life, and the LORD’s purpose will be accomplished through him.

How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?”

Jesus’ Final Commission Then he said to them,“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.”

But the things God foretold long ago through all the prophets– that his Christ would suffer– he has fulfilled in this way.

In Christ we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will

So you who believe see his value, but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,
